Greetings!

MOFB

Sitting around the Electric Campfire is Mike Outram and, er, you if you’re reading this.

Toast a marshmallow, plug in, sing a song, tell a story..

That’s the vague plan so far. Things are quite chaotic right now so rather than do nothing I decided to just keep the site up and edit it as I go along. At the bottom of the page there’s a ‘To do’ list that’s proving quite useful. The more I put things online the quicker they get done it seems. So there are gaping holes and things that do what they shouldn’t but it’ll all come together soon, relax…

If you’re incredibly desperate for more info then how about joining in and making a suggestion as to what would be good to seeĀ  on this site. ‘Who are you?’ might be a start, eh? Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. You’re right. Well I’m me, here I am. You’re you, there you are… mumble, mumble, I’m a guitarist and composer. There we go…

If this isn’t working then try this Google search for some background or check out my YouTube Channel to see me doing some actual music-making in the flesh. If you’re feeling frisky with the mouse then check out the links here even. Go wild. There’s also a blog here. If there’s anything of interest in that lot then subscribe and you’ll be kept up to date with whatever is going on here – currently the production of my album and the writing of a book on creative strategies for music/guitar playing. Also, you can follow me on twitter here.

This reads more like an Out-of-Order Elevator Pitch. Anyway you get the idea…

Hi Mike-like your new website. About a year ago i asked if you would play Leicester. I tried contacting jazz at the y theatre but it all seems dead.Maybe you could try via Asaf Sirkis, he’s played there a few times. Have you heard of James Muller, great Oz jazzer, he’s on youtube, (and you can hear a couple of his albums on spotify).

Hi Woody, I haven’t really got a band at the moment. I am making a record though so I’ll be looking to play the music from it when it’s finished. Also, you can subscribe to an RSS feed of my gigs here and that will let you know if I’m playing anywhere near you. I’ve heard a little bit of James Muller but not enough. What would you recommend?

Hi Mike,
I just sent you a text re teaching. Hope you are free. Would be great to have you on the team even if it’s only for a day.
First reaction to your new website was dazed and confused. But I think it’s really cool.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Ursula
