Music

Here are some recordings I’ve made. The album I’m working on will be up soon (I promise).

In the meantime you can check out the Banzai Buddy Band. This band came from a geek themed party we had ages ago, and we wrote a bunch of geek-related songs about maths, pocket calculators dungeons and dragons and the like. Here they are. They’re available in pay-what-you-like high resolution downloads.

There’s also an, as yet, uncomplete guitar lesson thing on the melodic minor modes. Should have that finished soon too. Check out the first two here.

Here’s a live set from Asaf Sirkis, Steve Lodder and myself. It was recorded at the Vortex, UK. Paul Pirongs recorded it and lots more gigs too. I’ll put the others up when I figure out how to get some space.

Asaf Sirkis, Mike Outram, Steve Lodder: Live at The Vortex by mikeoutram

I’m going to make a Spotify/Last.FM page with links so you can hear all the music I’ve recorded for other people, and I’ll put links on the discography page where applicable too.

Hey Mike, no one has left any comments, something wrong there, maybe this one will encourage poeple to do so now… been doing some mid night internet wondering for mad or non mad music, anything really, i’m glad i found these on your website, i really like them all… amazed, although i am very fond of kiss me my darling…. very cool. its all cool, had to mention that one though. it’s nice to know that a guitarist/musician doesn’t have to take everything so serious all the time if you know what i mean, i will bare this in mind in future. looking forward to hear the melodic minor modes lessons complete. very fond of that sound. let me know when your book is finished…: ) thanks for all the advice in term 1 of lpw. although i have many other un-asked questions… : ) let me know how the water music is going as well. talk/see you again soon. Darren

Hi Darren, thanks for commenting and your good words :) Yep, I must get on a finish the melodic minor thing, and the book. Ach, there’s a lot to do!

Glad you got something from term 1. You’re a fantastic player, Darren; it was a pleasure to listen to you every week. Keep going forward! M

hi guy. yeah great gig at the vortex. asaf sirkis cant find any jazz venues to book inner noise, apart from half a gig in poole soon (see asafs website), so he is not looking to re-record the group. im looking for a church with a good organ wholl put them on – a tall order!. i might sponsor a gig by the group ……this might encourage asaf to record!!!!
